Tori Haynes is an artist based in North Carolina who is currently studying at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to receive their BFA in Illustration with a minor in Art History. In 2023 they graduated high school from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts after being admitted into the Visual Arts Program.

They were part of UNCSA’s 2023 Exhibition at SECCA, where they displayed the piece “My Garden”. In 2023, they also received a Silver and a Gold Key from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, which were exhibited at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC in 2023.

Their latest exhibited work was the Yakin Council 2025 juried exhibition and the Student Activity Center’s at UNCC 2025 juried exhibition. Currently, two of their collaborative installations are in the Rowe Arts Building

Their work explores vibrancy through tragedy. Recreating their own experiences through a variety of color palettes and media. Their process helps them to understand themselves and those around them in order to grow not only artistically but as a person.
